‘Top of the range'. You must be talking about the Max G30. You can get on one and ride for 40 miles on a single charge. 40. Miles. That’s class-topping range, folks. And with a top speed of 15.5mph, those many miles will whizz by.

Looking at the spec sheet for the G30, it’s no wonder this is often referred to as ‘a bit of a beast’. Yes, the  Ninebot Segway Max G30 is their heaviest electric scooter, with the best speed and range.

It’s also their most comfortable, sitting atop chunky 10-inch pneumatic tyred wheels. The added weight also gives better stability, which becomes even more essential the longer you ride.

Featuring ‘rental’ build quality (this is a good thing, trust us), we think the G30 is an electric scooter ahead of its time. Max G30 riders are going beyond simple commutes. They’re finding bold new ways to traverse the capital, or leave it entirely. Any excuse to escape.

    Heads Up!

Fire up the scooter and your onboard info display shows all the essentials on a brilliantly clear, full colour LED screen (VERY useful for checking your speed on the go). As well as mph, the display lets you know which driving mode you’re currently in, how much juice you have left, and if your scooters paired up on Bluetooth. It will even tell you if something’s up and you need to bring your trusty steed back to Milk for a check-up. Marvellous.

    Impressive Tyre-power

To cope with the extra speed and range, Segway haven’t skimped on super smooth ride quality. Instead of the usual solid tyres from the rest of the range, the G30 shows off upgraded 10-inch tubeless pneumatic tyres. These babies can eat up tarmac, concrete and even a little off roading (carefully though, this isn’t a mountain bike!) They’ve even included an additional jelly layer, to lower your risk of punctures and maintenance. Yum!

    The best Segway brakes ever

Gone are the button brakes, replaced with a powerful single brake lever that activates the front mechanical drum brake, plus the regenerative brake in the rear hub motor. Short version? Pull the lever, stop in safety and style. With the dedicated Segway app, you can also adjust the clever regenerative braking force (this controls how much energy is returned to the battery once you let go of the power button). Pretty smart, right? And as the G30 is bigger and badder than its Segway cousins, they’ve fitted a nice bell. So you can warn pedestrians and other people nearby - coming through!

    Bright Lights. Big City

As your electric motor is extremely quiet, scooter riders need to overcompensate when it comes to visibility. Lights, reflectors, action! Lighting your way is a built-in front-facing 2.5W LED light. Combined with brake lights that show when you’re slowing down, and rear lights to keep you noticeable, and you have one very dazzling, super safe scooter.
